The Rockbridge Symphony opens its season with "Won't You Dance?", an evening of dance music at Lexington Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The pre-concert talk begins at 6:45 p.m. and the curtain is at 7:30.
The program moves through a wide range of dance writing: familiar tunes from Fiddler on the Roof, the "Four Dance Episodes" from Copland's Rodeo, and Leroy Anderson's "Blue Tango."
A sensory friendly performance
This concert is sensory friendly, and the orchestra invites the audience to move as the music moves them. It's a good fit for families, for younger listeners, and for anyone who would rather not sit still through a formal concert.
