Geoffrey S. Berg
1951-2023
Geoffrey S. Berg was a professor, photographer, and supporter of the arts. Upon his death in 2023, Berg donated his photographs--showcasing his talent over many years and in many locations--to the Buena Vista Arts Council, of which he was an avid supporter.
“At this time," he said, "I am gifting my photography as a funding effort for The Buena Vista Arts Council that has...had a mission that parallels my own."
Continuing in the tradition Berg began, the BVAC has shared his work by installing beautiful canvas prints in both public and commercial spaces in and around Buena Vista and Rockbridge County. As per his wishes, BVAC also offers many of Berg's prints for sale, with profits benefitting the Council's many programs that promote arts in the community.
Although we are still in the process of cataloging the collection, many of Geoffrey Berg's prints are already available for sale. This website will eventually have a place to browse and purchase prints. You can also find the BVAC selling prints at many local market events.
